Frequently Asked Questions
We believe that therapy should be affordable, so we provide affordable therapy rate. We also offer a sliding scale for those with financial challenges. Please contact us to inquire about sliding scale.
Most insurance and health benefit plans cover counselling services provided by a Registered Social Worker. Please contact your insurance provider to check your coverage before your first session.
Direct billing is provided to a number of insurance providers. I also provide a receipt at the end of every session to be submitted to your health insurance provider for reimbursement if needed.
We offer a free 15 minute consultation for you to meet your therapist, to discuss the topics you would like to address, ask the therapist questions about their therapeutic approaches and techniques, and to see if you and the therapist might be a good fit. It is not a therapy session
Thriving Place Counselling & Psychotherapy offers only virtual therapy at this time via a secure platform. Online therapy offers the ability to connect with your therapist from the comfort of your own home or chosen location.
